Great Teachers + New Schools =
A Plan For Growth

Learn more about Rockwall ISD's Propositions on your November ballot

The Bond and VATRE fit together like peanut butter and jelly – each is vital to Rockwall ISD’s future success. The bond will provide the funding needed to allow Rockwall ISD to build the facilities necessary to accommodate our growth. The VATRE will allow us to hire and retain the staff required for these spaces while funding the student programs essential to keep Rockwall ISD one of the best places in Texas to learn.

The Plan

Propositions A, B, C, and D offer a plan that addresses our growth, the overcrowding of our schools, and the need to hire and retain the best area teachers. The 2024 Propositions addresses all of these things while keeping Rockwall ISD’s tax rate one of the lowest in the area.

The Rockwall ISD VATRE & Bond propositions are two parts of a long-range plan. The VATRE will allow Rockwall ISD to increase compensation for educators, fund state requirements, including unfunded state mandates and allow the District to hire more teachers to meet the growing enrollment. The Bond propositions will include the construction of two new elementary schools, a replacement elementary school, renovations and upgrades to other campuses, expanding Career and Technical Education spaces, new buses, refreshed technology and more.

Vote FOR increasing salaries to be more competitive with surrounding districts which will allow Rockwall ISD to attract highly qualified new teachers and retain our veteran educators.

Rockwall ISD was forced to turn away nearly 400 CTE students last year because of a lack of space. Vote FOR expanding the Career and Technology Education spaces to give more students access to valuable hands-on learning and career pathways.

Vote FOR a proposal that will relieve overcrowded classrooms across the district and enhance the quality of education by eliminating the need for portables.

Vote FOR investing in technology by replacing outdated devices and purchasing additional devices to keep up with the demand and needs of our growing community.

Vote FOR enhanced safety and security to protect our students and staff. This bond will allow Rockwall ISD to invest in significant safety and security measures across the district, including upgrades to surveillance cameras and the reconfiguration of main entrances at certain campuses.

Vote FOR expanding the capacity at the existing Wilkerson-Sanders stadium and providing easier access to restrooms and concessions for fans of all ages.

Vote FOR Rockwall ISD. Vote FOR Propositions A, B, C & D.
